It’s been almost three years since I’ve been home to New Jersey to see my family. Christmas 2019 was the last time I saw my sisters and their kids.

This is the longest I’ve ever gone without seeing my family, and it sucks. FaceTime helps, but it’s not the same.

Since that trip, two more nephews were born that we haven’t had the chance to meet because of the pandemic. It really hurts to miss those first few years, but we’re going to make up for lost time this October with all five of them.

As he does every year, Obama put out his summer playlist.

Here’s a pretty decent Top 100 list of movie soundtracks. I disagree with number one, but it should be in the top ten. It does contain most of my top 10 favorite soundtracks, though.

Here’s a good article about Lilith Fair on its 25th anniversary. This type of music wasn’t my thing back then, but many of these artists have influenced dozens of other women featured on this playlist over the years. Women are saving and keeping rock and roll alive.

Metallica met and jammed with Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie Munson in the latest season of Stranger Things, prior to their Lollapalooza set.
