I don’t have a lot to say in this intro because I just don’t have the words. Every day we seem to lose more rights, more autonomy, and it’s fucking exhausting. But… we need to keep fighting.

Many artists have spoken out about Roe being overturned including Fiona Apple, Olivia Rodrigo, Phoebe Bridgers, Cyndi Lauper, Jack White, Halsey, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Tom Morello (and Rage Against the Machine), Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Pink, Michelle Branch, John Legend, Pearl Jam, MUNA, Carole King, Mannequin Pussy, and so many more that I can’t include here.

I first became aware of this issue as an 11 or 12 year old watching Pearl Jam’s MTV Unplugged, where during “Porch” Eddie Vedder stood up on his stool and scribbled “PRO CHOICE” on his arm. I didn’t fully understand it at the time, but it stuck with me and when I could I tried to learn more about this and many other issues as my musical education was beginning and I heard about a lot social issues that I wasn’t otherwise exposed to in my suburban upbringing.

One final note on this - I don’t see enough men outraged. More men need to join in and support women’s right to choose.

Please consider a recurring donation to Abortion Funds.

Let’s get to work.

For Paul McCartney’s 80th birthday, Stereogum got 80 artists to talk about their favorite McCartney songs.

The Boss even got on stage to jam with McCartney to celebrate in New Jersey. Not only that, he joined McCartney a few weeks later in Glastonbury along Dave Grohl.

Another music legend also turned 80 this month. Watch some birthday wishes for Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with the AI image generator:

Twenty thousand fans at a Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup Playoff game sing along to Blink-182’s All the Small Things during a time-out.

Do you really know your parents if you don’t go through their record collection?

Two Radiohead covers, Fake Plastic Trees by Kelly Clarkson who always does a great job with her Kellyoke videos. And Adam Barrett does Paranoid Android, which is a really tough song.

I’ve never seen Springsteen live in New Jersey OR a show at The Stone Pony. Both bucket list items. Here is the awesome Phoebe Bridgers covering Stolen Car:
